Tid-Bit @ Me!

My photo
Welcome to P.M. Photographic. My biggest goal is to make your memories last a life time! Changing life and it's focus one picture at a time. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. However, my soul always longed to live in Florida. I have been shooting film from the time my parents bought me my first camera (a Canon AE 1). I was 15 at that time. Lets just say I am older now! My inspiration comes from all different places, people, and situations that I find myself in or traveling too. Please feel free to look around , and make comments. I look forward to hearing from you!

Friday Night Life....

The wonder of friday night life as seen in a child's eyes. Entertaining brings a whole new light on the subject when coloring books and crayons are on the agenda, or should I say menu. Little Jake is a dream to have as a friend in our lives. He is the son of Tammy and Jason. {They are also close to our hearts:)] Jake is a little gentleman to the end. His hugs and kisses greet you, and he say farewell with giggles that warm your heart.

TIME...

This is a big topic for just about everyone I know! Even with all of our time saving devices there just is not enough time in the day. Take the time to reconnect with family and friends it will be worth its weight in gold. Time is, and can be, our most precarious of commodities. When we have the time to do what is need or is best we sometimes just don't want to take the time... Kind of funny when you think about it.

Information Highway....

It is amazing to think that print blocks placed into a printing press is how we used to get the news out to the public. The information highway of today gives use instant news 24 hours a day all day! From texting to e-mailing, blogging to video messaging information is all around us. I must ask a question. Whatever happen to the good old days when we wrote letters and sent them by mail? Called and talked on the phone to hear a voice on the other end of the line? Do we really want to stay in touch but just out of reach? It is sad but the art of writting a thank you note it a lost one. In some ways, I spose, some would say that this is progress. I feel it all just dehumanizes a medium in which feelings and emotions could once be seen and heard. We are more connected but distant all at the same time. Think about that for a minute. Make it personal again. Take the time to reach out to those who you love the most. Write a note and slip into their lunch box, leave a note on the kitchen table, or on the front seat of the car, send a letter "just cause" you care. Reach out and connect again. Take the time because you can.

My Buddy...

Bandit has been with use now for almost 7 years. He had his rocky moments to survive in the earlier half of his life, but now seems to be doing well. He loves to be close to us in the house and share in all of our everyday moments. Here he is next to me on the floor as I have fun getting used to my new toy. Yes a new camera. He looks at me as if to say " What u doing Ma?" As he rests his head on the lower half of a coffee table edge. He steals my heart everyday.

Spring Flowers...

Flowers bring a new light and a freshness into the home. I remember, in the earily bloom of spring, the smell of lilac in the house. My parent's home in Wisconsin had several of the shrubs lining the property. Mom and I would always clip fresh boutiques and place them in different parts of the house. Flowers can bring a table setting to life for a party or just brighten up a corner in your home office. Whatever the occasion flowers can make the difference. Well at least in my book it does.

Perspectives

Sometimes what is best is hidden behind all the rest. A change in
perspective can change how you focus in on life. Dream big, reach high, pray often and never stop growing....

Pathways....

A path is defined as a narrow way or trail. I like to and tend to take the road less traveled. I go for the exploration in life. I have never been one to do things the easy way. In taking this path it has sometimes lead me down some rather stormy passageways. I would have to say that in doing so I have learned alot. If I had to do it all over again, all 38 years of it, I would choose the same path. I like where this narrow path has taken me today. I have great friends, an awesome husband and loving family. How many of you can truely say that? Taking the pathway less traveled may be scary at first but can turn out pretty great in the end. Live large, love loud, and cherish every moment of every day....

Creative Touches...

This picture is a great representation of how creative my family truely is! This rather small wood carving represents hours of craft projects, moments of family bonding, and a lot of laughter! Creativity , for the most part, I feel comes from within each of us. We just have to find a way in which to best express it. It is and can be an expression of who you are as a person. My Mom has a boundless energy and a gift when it comes to quilting, sewing, and scrapbooking. Somehow everything she puts her hands to comes out awesome.
I have been blessed on both sides of my family with creative women... and men. My husband can draw a fantastic comic strip. My mom -in- law and sis- in- law can make the most beautiful art work out of a plain piece of wood. You give them a medium in which to create on and something wounderful is born. My expression is best seen in my photography. When words escape me a picture becomes worth a thousand words...

Reflecting Pond...

When I was a little girl I used to go down to the creek behind my families home and play for hours. My babysitters were named Molly[ our Black Lab], and Codi [our English Springer Spaniel]. I should call them my partners in crime for all the mischief that the three of us would encounter out back. Most of my time was spent skipping stones, wadding in the cold creek water and making forts out of the fallen trees. Molly used to climb the trees with me. It's great to look back on past times when life was not so rushed, scheduled and planned! Some of my most treasured moments where those very summers spent outdoors on the bridge my Dad built over that creek bed. I hope that over the next few weeks that I can get back to being "Out With Nature" capturing memories and reflecting on life.
