Tid-Bit @ Me!

My photo
Welcome to P.M. Photographic. My biggest goal is to make your memories last a life time! Changing life and it's focus one picture at a time. I was born and raised in Wisconsin. However, my soul always longed to live in Florida. I have been shooting film from the time my parents bought me my first camera (a Canon AE 1). I was 15 at that time. Lets just say I am older now! My inspiration comes from all different places, people, and situations that I find myself in or traveling too. Please feel free to look around , and make comments. I look forward to hearing from you!

Charles and Chase Complete Scoop Daddy's

What a great job by Charles and Chase Construction on their completion of the Scoop Daddy's Ice Cream Shop. Stop on in for a cold one [ ice cream that is...] with the family. Now open just off University Parkway and Cooper Creek Rd. In the same plaza as Caddy Shanks, and World of Beer. MMM MMM GOOD!
Enjoy!

End of Time.

What a great project that came about because of one man making the rusted metal numbers for our clocks. You are seeing the end results of your clocks . What a labor of love these were on Labor Day! This project was about 6-7months in the making. One for the idea and then getting all parties to work their magic and make it come to life. Thank you Steve and Juck Yard Man for all the great metal workings that made this project come to life. Follow down the page for how the clock started as you see the end product here.

Telling time...

Measuring to place the numbers that Steve made us!

Cutting the board to fit the frame.

Putting the nails in to hold the numbers. Watch your fingers! Ouch!

Waiting for glue...

Waiting for the glue to dry was a big long challange for the project while getting started. The Florida heat and humidity did not help us in our artistic ventures while attempting to get the project done. After carefully cutting the boards we then went on to place them into the wagon wheel frames. Boy was that a fun time! HA! You will then go on to see that we painted the boards white and aged them with the use of mineral spirts and brown oil based paint. It gives a great old style feel to the final project.

Old made new...

Here you are seeing the start and finish product of a lot of mineral oil and washing of the wheels to bring this rusted metal wheel back to life and it's beauty!

Here is how we pulled, cut, and pushed these now glued boards into their new but old frames. It is coming along.

All about time...

This was a labor of love weekend on Labor Day 2010. Dianne [Mother -in-Law], Nikki [ sis-in-Law] ,and I got together to make our wagon wheel clocks. A special thank you goes to "Steve the blacksmith" and the "Junk Yard Man" not only for making the awesome numbers for our clocks, but for also providing all the metal for the project. His work is top of the line! They made this little project come to life for us all. We glued, cut, and rubbed our way toward making these big wagon wheel clocks. Which now hang on our walls at home. You can follow the process .
