I wanted to sharpen my skills in photography and tripod use while we were on vacation. So I snapped a few shots.. On average I would have to say that these attempts are not so bad.

Just a Moment...

Mason with his gammie, otherwise known as my Aunt Ellen.

Just a simple moment with my second cousin Mason. He will turn a year old this July and he changes every time I see him! This picture was taken by my cousin-in-law Holli. Mason had us all belly laughing at him as my Aunt, his Grandmother, made animal noises and bounced him up and down. Mason's laugh was infectious that night!

A Not So Fury Friend...

Just a small little guy entertaining himself by watching me while I read a book out of the balcony of our hotel in Hilton Head SC. He was more interested in me than I in him. We shared the warm afternoon sun together!

Let Light Lead Our Way...

Tybee Is. Lighthouse in GA. was a great step back into our national history. From how the lightkeeper and his family lived to how the lighthouse was manned and run. All of the information was very interesting! There are 178 steps to the top of the lighthouse and we climbed them all. The view from the top is breathtaking. More to follow stay tuned...

Keep tuned more is coming about the adventures we had while gone on vacation. From how I shot that photo, to where we traveled to and from. Our path took us from FL to Savahana GA. French Country Side in GA?

Chateau Elan was a great time. Who knew that there would be a French country side in America complete with wine making! The hotel and the grounds were well kept and beautiful. The tour of the processing mill was very educational. While the wine tasting was, well get real it was a wine tasting, FANTASTIC! This adventure comes highly recommended!

Home Away From Home...

We had the setting of a lifetime. The home was warm, inviting, and filled with relaxation around every corner. A great chance to get away, put your feet up on the hearth and take a breath away from the busy beat of life! This cabin is in the Blue Ridge Mts. of upper GA.. It's about 15 minutes for NC.

A Kid In A Candy Store...

Not bad for shooting this segment with my small Sony Cyber shot camera. We where in Savhana GA. in a large candy shop down at City Market. The sights, sounds, and smells still make my mouth water! City Market is an open walking market with cobble stone walks between the buildings. There are a number of art galleries, horse buggy rides, stores and cafes' in which to get some great eats at. As Rachel Ray would say "Yum-O".

Nothing to Wine About...

Just sitting outside and relaxing at the cabin in the Blue Ridge Mts. I took the picture because I wanted to try to see what my lens would see through the glass in which my eye was looking down into. It was a warm afternoon, with a slight breeze, my feet proped up ,and a fire going in the fire place on the porch. This picture really brings back the moment. COOL!
